Summary: It's a workbook
Comment: The authors' book is a marketing student's tour of the internet. Place the book by your keyboard and visit the sites. The division of the book into topics that parallel those found in many Principles of Marketing texts makes it a useful companion to most of those texts, but without one of those texts--or strong familiarity with one--the book's usefulness is limited. The book's publisher is a major publisher of business textbooks.
One could claim that the book's coverage of the topics it identifies is uneven, but in truth, it's the result of uneven coverage of those topics on the web itself. If the reader is looking for a guide on how to market on the internet, this is not the book. If the reader is looking for how marketers are using the internet to do the things covered in a Principles text. It's here.
